It’s Election Day in the Town of Columbus! Today is Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and it is a critical day for our community. Polls are officially open in Columbus for the 2026 Partisan Primary, and your participation is the most direct way to shape who appears on the ballot this November.
If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time—but don’t wait! Polls are open until 8:00 PM tonight.
Where and How to Vote
- Polling Location: All voting takes place at Town of Columbus Town Hall.
- Hours: Polls remain open until 8:00 PM. If you are in line by 8:00 PM, you have the right to cast your ballot.
- What to Bring: Remember to bring an acceptable photo ID. If you aren’t registered, Wisconsin offers same-day voter registration at the polls; just be sure to bring proof of residence.
What Is on the Ballot?
Today is a Partisan Primary, which means voters are selecting candidates to represent their parties in the general election this November. Races on the ballot may include seats for:
- Congress (U.S. House of Representatives)
- State Legislature (State Senate and Assembly)
- Contested Statewide Offices
Important Rule: You may vote in only ONE party’s primary. If you choose to vote for candidates from more than one party on the same ballot, your votes will not be counted. You must select a single party and vote for the individual candidates within that section only.

- The Finalists: You are choosing the candidates who will face off in the General Election on November 3, 2026.
